Chauncey Smith brings back the early, soulful sounds associated with voices like Sam Cooke, Eddie Kindricks (Temptations), Little Anthony, and of course James Brown just to name a few. Chauncey is an old time crooner. He has that thick, velvet sound that just melts within a song.
As a lover of music, Chauncey has been inspired by many styles and genres of music.

Chauncey is most comfortable with “new” R&B but at the ripe old age of 28, he is discovering the roots of all this music. “Diggin’ on James Brown” and “Billie Jean” are becoming new favorites. Chauncey is also involved in producing and writing his own music.
