Alison Streeter | Lead Vocalist
Alison Streeter is by far one of the most charismatic voices we are blessed to have in the area. Alison is a vocal chameleon, who can belt out a gospel sound, grab the groove with pop rock, bring the edge back with disco and even twang a Bonnie Raitt track.
Alison has been with the band since its inception. With the addition of Chauncey Smith and Tasha Dyer as lead vocalist, the harmonies produced with the trio, as well as Bob and Ray, allow the group to have amazing vocal flexibility with both leads and parts.
“It has been such a journey to watch this band grow and evolve over the last eight years. It’s always a group effort to create and execute the playlist. I really enjoy when we take a song and make it unique to 6th N Main while keeping the sound familiar to audiences. We first did that with 'Under The Boardwalk', giving it an island, tropical sound that audiences always dance and sing to. We are a dance band playing songs that you forgot you loved. Every song is different from the one before it. It always seems so fresh when you go from Motown to Rock, to Disco and a few Country surprises in there too.”
Hailing from Indiana, Alison grew up touring the country with parents who are professional musicians and vocalists. She has vocal, dance and theatrical credits from collegiate to regional, to our local stage. Alison loves Aretha! Then again, who doesn’t! It seems fitting that her big voice and dynamic range would love the Aretha medley of “Chain Chain Chain”, “Think” and “Respect”.
